Hi Folks,
I thought that I'd let you know about a recent school trip that I took with my 10 yr old daughter's class to the HMS Belfast in London. Now to be honest with you as an ex-Army Tom, and general Victor Meldrew character, it wasn't a trip out with my daughter that I was looking forward to. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their knowledge of the HMS Belfast and the respect that these kids showed to an ex-rating who was on board and who had served throughout the war in a number of various theatres. Even this veteran was so impressed by the kids that he shook hands with each and every one of them. Who says that kids have no respect these days.
