Hi Torstein ! , Hi Rainer ! , Merry Christmas!
See if You can find the records for the Norwegian 54th MTB Flotilla,
or the Norwegian 30th MTB Flotilla.
The 54th was commanded by LtCdr Monnssen in June 1944,
when they worked over German Minesweepers in the English Channel,
and Lt Herlofsen led the 54th in the December 23rd and 26th 1944 attacks
on German ships in Bömlofjord respectively Fröysjoen.
I do not know wich of these officers that led the Oct 8th 1944 attack
on shipping north of Floröy?
Between that raid, and the end of the year, the 54th carried out 5 further
operations into the Inner Leads, sank or drove ashore 4 German ships,(10 960 tons)
and also destroyed 3 smaller escort vessels.
Roskill also mentioned 54th attacks on Jan 6th and 8th 1945,in the Inner Leads,
probably led by Herlofsen.
Try also to find the records for Norwegian 30th MTB Flotilla,
wich I know made attacks on German Naval Communication Posts,
as early as Jan 1943,while being based at Lerwick,Shetlands.
The 30th,besides making direct attacks on enemy shipping,
also laid several mine fields that proved effective!
There were several MTB attacks on German shipping off Norway in April -45,
and I am sure that the 54th was participating in them,
so keep looking for their records Torstein!
The importance of the 30th and 54th Norwegian MTB Flotillas must not be
underestimated!
Besides the direct attacks that they carried out on German shipping off Norway,
they frequently landed stores and arms for sabotage purposes,
picked up Resistance leaders and brought them to Britain,
and supplied and relieved the coast-watchers who reported enemy shipping movements.

Best regards/Anders.
