Good afternoon-
I live close to Chicago, Illinois, USA, and have visited the U-505 display at the Museum of Science and Industry many times. I have not encountered any tour guides who can give me the proper pronunciation of Kapitan-Leutnant Zschech's last name. Very few guides and hardly any visitors are aware of his command and his suicide on board the boat. How his last name is pronounced has been a bit trivia that has troubles me for many, many years. I would be most appreciative if anyone could post information to help resolve this lack of linguistic skill on my part with the correct pronunciation.
Respectfully-
