RE: Anyone seen the U995 in Laboe?

<HTML>Dear Peter:

I visited the U-995 in 1988. Frankly, I was disappointed. The interior is quite bare.
There are none of the accessories to illustrate life in a U-boat: no utensils in the galley, no imitation food, no bedding, no clothing, no books or papers in the commander\'s area, not even toilet paper in the head!

You may be interested why I and a fellow American merchant marine officer visited LaBoe and who escorted us. Go to [www.usmm.org] for the answer and a photo of the U-995.

Cordially.
