Re: the photo, that is not the one that I have, I paid much less than $400.00 for it also. I did frame it an is on my maritime wall at home. The signature is very close to that in your photo--I hope it is real--but I am just happy to have the photo! Regarding that Commander who yelled at the Hooligan Navy boat, I guess if he were heartless, he could have sunk the small craft with his guns. But the way he yelled at them is quite demeaning, and kind of humerous. After all, here a German U-boat is telling someone to get out of their own back yard for their own safety at that!
Re: the name of Hartegen\'s Marine Oil Company----I guess you and I have lots of work to do! Do you own any ships that need a fill up!!!!! We can pull up to Hartegen\'s pumps and fill er up and charge it!----What ever I find out I will share with you and the forum. Be well
