These trips are hard to come by----I can only speak for the USA. For the most part you must be personally invited by the Commander. Usually he will invite those who have relatives aboard as crew, or as someone who has done something for the Navy or the ship inparticular. I will be out on a Los Angeles Class SSN soon--I am very active in Naval Affairs and was personally invited. Unless there is another way, to my knowledge this is the only way to get underway with a submarine. I don\'t know if UK or France or other country\'s with submarines do the same. I think Russia was charging $$$ for a trip on a submarine just like they were charging $$$ for a trip on a MIG 25. Good luck---Perhaps someone else in the forum has further knowledge..........
