<HTML>You might also try looking at Clay Blair\'s \"Hitler\'s U-boat War\" books.
While he obviously concentrates on the German side of things, he often
talks about Italian successes.

I have actually wanted to find a book on this very subject. There only
seem to be books out there in Italian which, while I can read it, takes
a bit longer. Not to mention they have been impossible for me to come by.

I have noted some works on the Japanese submarine fleet, but not much
in the way of the Italian. Their submarine fleet tends to get only a chapter in books dedicated to their entire navy. While Doenitz did not like the Italian submarines
very much, he often spoke very highly of their crews and actions.

I would appreciate any suggestions as far as books go from anyone. Thanks a
lot.

Rich

ps---for anyone who is interested, Peter Kemp\'s books on miniature submarines and navy special forces (\"underwater warriors\") deal extensively with the Italian use
of mini-subs and frogmen.</HTML>
