Before Rainer and I get into all kinds of other details one question for you. Do you know who put these pictures on the net. It seems to me that these photo's are coming from a private photo album concerning only one U-Boot on one particular voyage or training session. I have the idea that the guy standing next to the sail near the meeling (picture in the starboard lower-corner) is the lead subject and probably the former owner of the photo album. I also got the idea that these pictures are taken in German (Baltic) waters as one can see on some photo's that there are no mountains and the surrounding lands are relatively flat. One could try to contact the U-Boots Tradtions Archiv in Cuxhaven and look for the meeling on the tower. Perhaps one of our German "crewmembers" near Cuxhaven could do this for you.
