Hello Cathy,

Thanks for sharing your mothers experience involving the torpedoing of the Darkdale. May I enquire and ask the name of the Harbour Master please? How old was he at the time and where would he have been living on the Island.

I am a permanent resident of the Island and my late mother who was born in Plantation House in 1924 and at the age of 18 recounted the explosion that lit up virtually all of the Island.
