<HTML>At last count I saw 7 ! on ebay, 3 from a Russian museum that closed down or something like that. Don\'t you just love the stories that you read on ebay ! There were only 28 of these made and were made from .800 silver , NOT brass as were many early war badges. Most were made by SCHWERIN of BERLIN and yes the the 9 rose cut diamonds were attached to a square plate affixed over the normal swastika , you can see the original swastika on the reverse side .The reverse side was semi-hollow with a thin square pin with .800 and the makers code stamped in it, most were L/21 ( SCHWERIN ) but some were made by GODET . So, yes that plate with the diamonds on it are correct but ................ ALL were HAND MADE and sloppy workmenship was not tolerated at all !!! . You will see very fine jewlers file marks but never things that are at an angle or other sloppy signs of poor quality. Email if you would like the names of all known recipients of this award. I have been a collector for some 32 years now and would NEVER , EVER touch an award like this ! :)</HTML>
