What does KPM on U-boat china stand for?

My father and I have obtain several U-boat china pieces and we were wondering what the letters KPM stand for. I understand how the Germans gave individual firms three letter codes found on everything manufactured. I wrote the U-boat Archiv but have only received silence. I figured it doesn\'t hurt to ask the awesome forum members so, any answers?</HTML>
