<HTML>Hello u-boat fans,

I have a similar question like the one from Fin Bonset. What happened to Heinrich Liebe after the war? I think he was one of the most successful u-boat commanders in WK II. Is he still alive? Was he in the Bundesmarine, too? Why don´t we hear or read much about him? Could it be, that he lived in the GDR after the war, because he was born in Gotha, a city in Thuringia, a former state of the GDR?

I would be pleased for some answers. Thank you in advance,
