<HTML>Can't say about a U-Boat Anchor specs, but a merchant ship with 2 anchors should always use the starboard anchor in the Northern Hemisphere as Cyclones revolve anti-clockwise and the chain would not foul the across the stem when she swings.

Perhaps for U-Boats also on starboard side as they operated in the majority in the Northern Hemisphere.</HTML>
