Thats an interesting comment that the shipyard could apparently decide which side the sub anchor would be placed. I would have thought that the USN would have some input into that.
How far South did US subs operate ?
It would seem to me to be quite a lot of chain with excess weight carried on the off chance it would anchor in deep water !
Will revert on RN requirements.
