<HTML>Dear John:
What I found:
" On the 29th. 1941, U-103, 450 miles of Las Palmas, sank the "SS Ernani" (it 6619t), in the vicinity of convoy SL 76, to which U-103 had been directed. This vessel, sunk in error, was an Italian blockade runner heading for Bordeaux. She sailed under the guise of the Dutch ship Enggano."
Hope this helps. Walter.</HTML>
