<HTML>Hello Craig, All,
Good to hear that you had a wonderful trip Craig. Your impressions and exitement mirror my own after I had visited the Archiv some years ago. Isn\'t it an amazing place? I am happy for you that you were able to meet with some of your heros. Good on ya mate.
I was in England in October and the closest I got to submarines was the old Russian Sub that is sitting in Folkestone that was apparently designed after the Type XXI. What amazed me was what poor condition it is in, especially when compared to U995 in Moltenort. Ya gotta hand it to the Germans: they make the best machinery. No one can top them although the Americans come pretty close sometimes.
With regard to Erich Topp and his (non) use of the internet, I saw those posts - that were allegedly signed by Topp - earlier on this year, and I was deeply suspicions that they were bogus. For one thing, the poster\'s comments were rather clipped and the whole thing just didn\'t seem legitimate. I kept my yap shut because there was so much enthusiasm on the list, that Erich Topp would actually contribute, and being new to the crew, I didn\'t want to pour cold water on the exitement. I guess when it gets down to it, we never really know who is posting here... Well, honest, I do use my real name!
Do keep us entertained with your memories of Germany Craig. How are you adjusting to life in Kansas now that you are back???
regards,
Robert Eno</HTML>
