The daughter I know is the daughter of MtrObGfr Erich Spitzley - a man with a wonderful laugh and a great sense of humour. He served for a time on U-38.

If you can would/could you ask your friend if she knows whether or not her father was at the bi-annual meeting of the U-31 crew held in Hameln about 1973/75? Because if he was I would have met him as I was a guest of K.Kapt Prellberg.
