I am curious about the ship being named Hogarth. Can you tell me any more about it?
My ancestors came from Westmorland. My great great grandmother came as a widow with 7 sons to ,set up with her brother who said her sons would be able to farm in Canada. The seventh son was called Septimus and he was my great grandfather.
I came across this info as I searched for my uncle John Gordon Hogarth who fought in the first war and we are unable to find any information about him. The Vetern's Dept. here in Canada has no record and the Commonwealth War Graves in the UK has no record either.
