Hi Craig

One version of this event I have read relates that the raiders got the locals to throw a large party for the crews of the German ships. With most of the crews' ashore for the festivities, the raiders were apparently able to slip aboard fairly easily and commence action. Maybe it is true, maybe not, perhaps some more detail will eventually come to light. It would be intersting to know if any of the crewss of the boats scuttled/sunk are stil alive and what their version of events is.
