Simon,

I have seen mention on several sights regarding a claim that people living near the somalian coast, near where the Type IXD/2 U-852 (KL Heinz-Wilhelm Eck) was run aground, have been suffering from what appears to be radiation sickness following a major coastal storm in 2004. I believe the British went all through that boat after her grounding but did not find much of great value. If she had been carrying uranium-oxide, would there be any significant radioactivity? Sounds like a hoax to me. Any insight?

p.s. I mailed you the research monograph I mentioned, this morning. Please let me know what you think.
