<HTML>Kia Ora Ying,
I have known about this case for many a long year. I was told, albeit, briefly by a U-boat \"ace\". Although the case was probably known throughout the German Officer corps, it is a subject that is not mentioned in U-boat circles like that of
Kptlt Rahmlow. I mentioned his name at a meeting once and the subject was changed instantly. I know of no other cases amongst U-boat personnel but there was one case on one of the Hilfskreuzers (armed merchant raiders) the Atlantis, I believe, amongst two crew members. That incident was dealt with by the Captain, if I remember correctly.
Perhaps some others can help although it might still be a difficult subject to mention as known homosexuals were put in concentration camps along with gipsies and other undesirables.
I wonder what other postings will come of this one ?
Kindest regards
