<HTML>Hi folks,
This might be an opportune moment to recall the sad case of Kkpt. Rennenkamp, then commanding the 3rd Torpedoboot Flottilla. He and a bunch of officers were lounging in the mess getting well lubricated internally after escorting a coastal convoy. An orderly standing behind Rennenkamp\'s chair was asking if another round was desired. R half turning around brushed with one hand the front of the orderly\'s pants. The orderly felt \"molested\" saying he would launch a formal complaint in the morning. Less than an hour later R. committed suicide with his service pistol.
My mother who recalled this story assured me that R was as straight an arrow as one will ever find. An excellent officer and gentleman, well liked by his subordinates, and definately not gay.
Don\'t know what happened to the orderly afterwards. But I would not want to have been in his skin.
