Hi,

It’s KENTER and not Kentner
The first “inventor” of this kind of chain-connecting link, seems to be a Prussian citizen, named Max Kenter around 1906 (Patented July 2, 1907).

BTW if WW 1 = Kaiserliche Marine and not : Kriegsmarine (+ WW 2)
