Hallo MPC and All,

first of all, MPC, thank you for you fair summary to the subject as to why U 524 should be preserved intact, be that from the Anglo Saxon point of view or from us Continentals who signed the petition on her behave.

Now reading the government response this line caught my eye:

"...other than through the provision of grant-in-aid to sponsored museums which hold vessels of historic significance in their collections."

Probably there might be a museum in the UK as described who might show an interest to "hold a vessel of historic significance in their collection." To give an expertise as to the historical significance in UK history of u 534 I am sure there are prominent experts in the UK to handle this matter and petition for her; maybe even the UK Navy might also be interested in preserving her like she was in Birkenstead in one of her yards.

You all have a nice day.
Sincerely Yours
VEK
