Paul,
The 59th BS was stationed in Aruba but no A-20 ever attacked U-156. After observing coastal installations for a few days U-156 torpedoed two tankers on the 16 Feb. at the Lago (Esso) refinery at St. Nicolas and then proceeded to the Eagle Refinery (Shell) and torpedoed a tanker docked at the Eagle pier.
A good history of the whole affair is presented in "German U-Boat 156 Brought War to Aruba February 16, 1942" by Wm. C. Hochstuhl.
