Hi

I bought a book on World War 2 subjects but did not realise it was a Readers Digest book. It states that a spy in Accra was pinpointing Allied shipping which were then being sunk. The Americans gave the spy false information and sunk their shipping. Has anyone heard of this or could give me any further information. I am just assuming that U boats were involved otherwise there may have been more written about it.

I have written to Readers Digest asking for the story the article was based on and had no reply. The National Archives (London) have nothing. Ghana Record Office has not replied and the American Archives need more information.

Please can anyone help.
