I agree with 99% of what you say. The Japanese would gladly sink any allied flagged ship, of any type. There was a bit of thought of honor on their part in the sinking of warships, but instead of comparing their idea of honor with the British, who might have called the sinking of civilian ships as not very cricket, compare it to the American Indian idea of counting Coup. In short, the Japanese concept of Honor is not the same as the English. In the English system, Honor is something you try not to loose, in the Japanese system, Honor is like a point system that you try to win. Maybe a better translation of the Japanese concept being called honor would be respect.</HTML>
