Towards the end of the book, Werner mentions an officer called "Captain Juergensen" who he says was the commander of the U-Boat base at Kristiansand at the end of the war. This officer supposedly held a court-martial after the end of hostilities and ordered three sailors to be executed.

I have done some casual research into this and cannot find any evidence that this incident ever occurred. It seems from the posts here that Werner fabricated many of his anecdotes - was this story a similar invention of his?
