I would really not like to go into the matter, as it smacks of gossip, but the Captain repeatedly warned LGB 'Lothar, lass das' (drop it!) about the whole story, but he didn't get his wish. Altough she isn't mentioned in the book, the lady was present throughout this last voyage of the Otto Hahn to Durban and back, and by the time they had reached Durban, the Captain had had enough of his friend on board actively to help him on his journey through Africa rather than suffer his continued presence on board for five more weeks. It was not really a matter of making more money for LGB, he was a millionaire museum-builder by the time, it was more a chance of rounding out the story nicely. Hope this helps,
