hi guys,
Over a few weeks someone from ''mammoet salvage''is visiting me he contacted me due a sub forum and he wants to dig in my U-boat archive. He wants to look at my pictures of the IX-C`s and the IX-D2`s and ofcourse the building plans that I have
collected over the years. For me it is honour to take part of the salvage operation(in a way). The IX-D2 and IX-C models that Iam building is also handy.
But only one thing scares me,when the U-864 is out of the water, she goes
into a bunker for the big clean up(toxic materials etc etc),and the removal of the
torps and all the ammunition what is highly dangerous. If there are human remains left on board I hope that these men will get a normal funeral.
And than the boat will be scrapped(wink wink wink),I hope that I can stop scrapped issue.
Any advice is welcome.
my best regards,
Ron
