Hello Gseuchler,
I believe U-552 would not have had the upper net cutter in 1942. You can search the net for "Model U-boat crew 1/72" and that will provide many different kits. You should be very good at painting these very small figures.
I painted the Andrea 1/32 crew and the photos are posted on the Subcommittee tack board as follows:
