Hello,
To those interested in the story of HMS Stonecrop.
My grandfather CJ Castle was a crew member of the Stonecrop when she was sunk.
He survived the action and went on to be reassigned to HMAS Sydney.
Does anyone know who was on the raft that only 9 survived? Is there any record of who was on board the two life boats that reached Ireland?
It would be good to know how he was rescued.
Kind regards
Derek
