Last attack on a U-boat in WW11?

According to Gerald Toghill's book 'Royal Naval Trawlers' HMT Northern Sun is credited with the last attack on a U-boat in WW11 when on the penultimate day of the war in Europe she attacked a U-boat off Garosskagi, Iceland.

Can anyone supply further details on the incident and if indeed Gerald Toghill's claim is true?
