Hi Martin

German U-boats operated in the Mediterranean not before September 1941, so the submarine attacked by the Blenheim must have been Italian.

I think AXUM, DELFINO, SQUALO and UARSCIEK operated in the area at that time, but unfortunately have no sources to check this out in detail.
