Escort Speed During Depth Charge Attack

I have been searching for information on the speed of escorts during depth charge attacks. So far, I have found that the minimum speed was around 15 knots, or the top speed of the escort if less than 15 knots, to clear the drop area before explosions. I have not found a maximum speed for escorts, although the WWII US Navy PT Boat manual suggests closing the target at 34 knots, then slowing to 20 knots while dropping depth charges. Obviously aircraft would drop depth charges at high speed relative to destroyers and smaller escorts, but is there an upper bound on speeds at which depth charges would be dropped for destroyers and smaller escorts? Would, or could, a destroyer with a 36 knot top speed drop at 36 knots or be limited in some way to less than that?
