<HTML>I know it was just a movie, I\'m not trying to confuse fact and fantasy. I know that Hollywood (even Germany\'s version of it) takes creative license. My point was, in a case like that, would the LI have been awarded anything? And if so, what? Most of my study has been on the Luftwaffe. The criteria for awards, the points system in place, and the hazards associated with receiving them, are all very documented and there are plenty of pilots left to tell their story. I\'m finding it difficult to find anything on the individual sailors and what makes they/their stories unique. I can find plenty on the boats and battles, but not the men. Just trying to associate the award criteria for the Navy with what I know about the Air Force.</HTML>
