The information I have on this ship is, she was requisitioned on 3.09.39, commissioned as a hospital ship on the 24.09.39. Sailed 11.11.40 to Freetown, where she served as a base ship until redeployed in September 1942 to the Mediterranean. Question, what was she doing at sea?, when she rescued the survivors on 26.05.41,from the SS Benvrackie, that had dispersed from convoy OB 312, then sunk on 13.05.41, some 700 miles SW of Freetown. john
