Hi Stu

Here a link to my research on the Schnorchel system. The research is ongoing, and I still have lot of drawings that I want to add to this document when I can.

From my research the “protruding from the sides of the hull” is the piping for the air inlet for the schnorchel. It can be seen as it exits the schnorchel hinge arrangement, a section of curve pipe extending pass the side wall of the deck approximately 220 mm.
