The red arrows points to the control arm that locks the schnorchel into position by a large locking pin into the schnorchel restrain bracket. The control arm extent from the Control Room, through the pressure hull, up the conning tower to the schnorchel restrain bracket.
You will not found it on U-995 in it current configuration, as it this missing.
