Dear Keith,
How very nice to hear from you. I had actually been given your name by 3 separate sources, but as Ed has offered to help, I decided to see what he could find first.
On the other hand, your information and offer looks good, and I very much look forward to seeing anything that you can discover in your notes.
Also, by the way, I can't seem to trace the book to which you refer. Can you please be kind and tell me the full title and the author?
Finally, if all else fails, I probably have a way-in to the Deck Logs of PCE 846 (later USS Eunice) and USS Neuzner, so a page-by-page trawl of those between May and December (which would be quite a task!) may be the only way forward in the end.
You can therefore see why I am so keen to find someone who knows!
Anyway, I am so glad to see your "post", and would really appreciate anything that you can contribute on this somewhat (and strangely) hard-to-track story.
Kind regards, and yours aye
Derek
