All I started doing research and it seems some information about U-505 being in Baltimore is available. This is some highlights from article from Baltimore Sun dated June 18, 1945. The article was titled "Sailor Tours Sub He Seized" Baltimore Views U-Boat here for 7th War Loan
A local man who was on the USS Chatelain toured the submarine yesterday (June 17, 1945). The German submarine was docked at Pier-4 at Pratt Street. The article covers the events as described by the sailor and ends with "2,000 Baltimorean purchased $25,000 in war bonds.
I will try to provide more from the article and post any more info and or photo's that I discover in the upcoming weeks, months.
