RN Submarines in Trincomalee in WW2

My father, Lieutenant Commander D.S.R. Martin, was a submariner in WW2 and towards the end of the war he was stationed in Trincomalee. The family story is that he was taking part in 'cloak and dagger' operations on the coast of Malaya. I would be really interested to know about these operations, what submarine he might have been in, and anything else about activities with submarines involved, in that area.
