<HTML>I just read the history of the battle between the Sidney and the Kormoran thru the search engine Alta Vista and the Sidney was so lax I could not believe it. To pull along side a unknown ship instead of being behind it was shear negligent of duty
It gave the German raider a clear target to open fire with every thing they had. If the Captain of the Sidney had survived he should have been drawn and quartered like they did in the old Navy. Such a loss of Australian lives because of the neglect
of one ignorant Captain.. I would have put the URL on my post but it was a mile long
