It states in Wynn\'s book -Vol 2 , that U-647 was lost probably on
30/7/1943 by a mine between Iceland and the Faroes..?
There were no survivors, all her crew of 48 dead.
BTW: Interesting report by divers on the wreck of U-647 (VIIC)
