Hi All,

Actually this is somewhat of a valid question.

Admiral Raeder was a stickler as to what he considered proper conduct of his officers, especially in public and stuck his nose into marriages and other relationships between them and their women. He dismissed Reinhard Heydrich from the navy for something he considered an indiscretion (I think it was just breaking an engagement, but perhaps there was more to it) with a woman in 1931. This was the same Reinhard Heydrich that later became infamous as an SS officer after changing careers.

I doubt Dönitz did anything like that though but those were different times with different rules, at least for officers.

Regards,

Ken Dunn
