A check of Conway\'s shows no WWI or WWII submarine of any nation with these characteristics. 35 meters was pretty much the limit on single screw boats with a very few exceptions; certainly none were longer than 45 meters. Of course, with the adoption of whale-shaped hulls from the 1950s on, single shaft designs were again adopted and used for very large submarines..
