Hi C.C. Thanks for that, concerning the number sunk by aircraft, U483 and U1301 having not been allocated a squadron, I made enquires concerning the squadrons used in Deadlight, and was not successful, in fact there was no reference, except that they were both having been towed out, U483 was sunk NW Tory Is by gunfire, with U1301 sunk likewise, but to the NW of Bloody Foreland. But, no naval ship was identified in either case, which I wonder suggests both foundered??. regards John
