15/05/1943-16/04/1944 Kommandant auf "U 285" / 8. U-Flottille, Danzig. (Commander. Boat in working up and usual trials and exercises at Danzig. Oblt. z. S. Walter Otto was removed from the command because was ill and replaced by Kptlt. Konrad Bornhaupt.)
17/04/1944- 07/1944 (Hospitalised for Illness and stay in Naval Hospital, Danzig.)
07/1944- 01/1945 (Leader of Premilinary Training in the 31st U-Flotilla, Hamburg-Finkenwerder.)
01/1945-08/05/1945 (Klt. on Staff in the 19th U-Flotilla, Kiel.)
(Detained after capitulation. British war custody in P.O.W Camp. Freed in 08.1945.)
01/01/2003 (Died at the age of 85 years in Erlangen, Germany.)
