<HTML>Actually Oliver Yamato does mean Japan\'but is the old name for it,before Nihon or Nipon or whatever they want to call it these days started to be used.
Yamato is also one of the old province names\'changed to prefectures with the Mieji restoration to something different\'but was also the name for the whole country.
