Well, it looks like the Cameronia was damaged by torpedo dropped by Ju-88. It means, that the torpedo was F5b or (less likely) F5w type.

It would be good to know the original label (it is unlikely, that on German torpedo was a "detonator ring" label).

I have reviewed the documentation of both German aircraft torpedoes, and did not found anything similar to the part from the photo.

It does not look like the nose part of the warhead (where the pistol would be installed), because it is not symmetrical.

For now, I cannot tell anything more.
